Hi Peter, there’s not much there unfortunately. Often there is a fresh fruit van parked in the middle of the village – otherwise there are small “mercado municipal” (local daily market halls) in Grândola and Alcácer do Sal. If you want to visit a really good market, I’d drive down the Troia peninsula and take the ferry across to Setúbal. Besides the huge market I’ve mentioned here, there’s a second more local fish market at the docks – Mercado do Rio Azul.
